FEDERATION OF IJEBU STUDENTS ASSOCIATION ENDORSES HON ABDULAZEEZ OLA ARAGA OGEDENGBE
The umbrella body protecting the interest of over twenty thousand indigenous Ijebu students known as National Association of Ijebu Students (NAIS) has endorsed the candidacy of house of assembly candidate for Peoples Democratic Party in Ijebu Ode LGA constituency; Hon AbdulAzeez Ogedengbe popularly identified as Omo Araga.
A six-man delegation clothed in a white vest which has the name of the Hon boldly written on it, led by Comrade Lekan Mustapha met with the Honourable today in Ijebu Ode where they unanimously pledged their support for him. According to them, their decision was based on the activities of the intending Hon which has narrowed down the Students' circuit in Ijebu Ode.
"At our last meeting, the association decided to unite and expand the youths and students structures in Ijebu Ode to ensure the emergence of Hon AbdulAzeez Ogedengbe as the state assembly member representing Ijebu Ode LGA constituency come 2019. The apex organ of the association (TASUED CHAPTER) have accepted the blue print of Omo Araga and have set all machineries in motion to achieve this aim. Our decision was based on the survey which we secretly carried out on all candidates put forward by each political parties in the constituency.
Apart from the fact that Hon AbdulAzeez is young, learned, agile and able, he is a man with great vision for Ijebu Ode. With his recent activities, it is obvious even to the blind that he knows exactly how to get the job done. He's also student-friendly and a lover of youths. As a young man, for him to have summon the courage to lock horns with heavyweights politicans from other political parties, this goes at length to show how courageous and determined he is to rescue our community (Ijebu Ode) from total mess", Comrade Mustapha explained.
The association then presented Hon AbdulAzeez Ogedengbe with a medal and certificate in recognition of his magnificient and tremendous contributions to students emancipation. In his remark, Hon AbdulAzeez appreciated the association for counting him worthy of such honour and promised never to relent in his activities which is solely aimed at reatoring the lost glory of Ijebu Ode. He said he's fully committed to dish out the true and effective representation which Ijebu Ode deserves if given the mandate.
Present at the meeting were; Comrade Lekan Mustapha (NAIS PRESIDENT-ELECT, TASUED) comrade Shittu Adebayo (Tasued), Comrade Adekanni Ahmed(Federal Poly, Ilaro), Comrade Balogun Abiola (Mapoly), Comrade Yayah Akeem (Tasce) and Comrade Titilayo (NAIS Gen Sec, University of Ibadan).
