PRIMARY ELECTION : PDP CHAIRMAN URGES STATE AND NATIONAL ASSEMBLY ASPIRANTS TO EMBRACE UNITY*
Ahead of the soon-to-hold
primary election of the Peoples Democratic Party, the Party Chairman in Sagamu Local. government; Otunba Kola Akinyemi (Tonight) has called on the State and National Assembly aspirants from the local government to embrace peace and abide by the outcome of the exercise.
This, he made known at the weekly general meeting of the Party in Sagamu Local Government today, 24th of September 2018. The aspirants include; Omooba Daisi Akintan, Engr Adeola Sosanwo (SAS), Hon Sunday Idowu Kalejaye (S I O K), Prince Babalola Adesanya (SHINE), Asiwaju Ayorinde Babatunde (FABREGAS), Hon Adedotun Banjo (PAPAS) and Yeyeluwa Sonubi-Ogunremi (YEYE). Otunba Kola Akinyemi advised them to shun politics of bitterness and work vigorously for the Party's victory regardless of who eventually gets the ticket.
"As we prepare for the primary election, my advice for all aspirants vying for one political post or the other is to prioritize the Party's interest because at the end of it all, there will neither be a victor nor vanquished. Your attitude before the Primary election does not guarantee you political benefits in future, it is your attitude after the primary election. Accept whatever the outcome is and work tirelessly for the victory of PDP at the polls. You will all agree with me that the Party can not present more than one candidate for each position", Otunba Akinyemi concluded.
Also at the meeting, APC leaders who are known to be core loyalists of Sen Olamilekan Solomon (YAYI) in Ward II and III defected to the Peoples Democratic Party.
