I remain the authentic and only PDP chairman in Ogun State-Engr. Bayo

The Ogun PDP Chairman, Engr. Bayo Dayo, has maintained that he remains the authentic and only chairman of the party in the state.

Speaking during the inauguration of Obafemi Owode Local Government Youth forum in Owode Egba  on Thursday, Bayo emphasised that there is no leadership or factional crisis in the state chapter of the PDP.

"There is no controversy in Ogun PDP, I remain the chairman of the party in the state until the Court judgement in my favour is set aside. On my purported expulsion and three other members of the party, including the lawmaker representing Ogun East Senatorial District at the National Assembly, Sen. Buruji Kashamu, Prince Segun Seriki and the secretary of party, Chief Semiu Shodipo, I want to assure you all that it is null and void as it wasn't done in accordance with the constitution of the party. If you are expelling a member of the party, the person must be notified and given the opportunity to defend himself. That is the position of the Constitution of the party. I am not moved at all," he said.

Impressed by the large turnout of youths and party members at the event, the elated Bayo commended the youths for their total commitment to the party, saying they are the future of the party.

"I am impressed with what I am seeing here. The turnout of youths here is massive. I want to commend the chairman Ogun PDP elders council, Chief Kola Sorinola, the Ogun Central Senatorial aspirant, Apostle Biodun Sanyaolu, our legal adviser, Barrister Bimbo Balogun and the chairman of the party in this Local Government, Mr. Muyiwa Ojebiyi for doing a wonderful job. This is the first of its kind. The youths here are ready for 2019 elections," Bayo submitted.

Finally, Bayo assured aspirants in the Local Government area to carry on with their work, saying "no cause for alarm".

Party leaders in attendance were Alhaji Semiu Shodipo, Chief Samuel Ewedimu, Hon. Leye Odunjo, the PDP state youth leader, Hon. Femi Alao, Hon. Matemilola, Alhaji Olalekan Akinwande and Alhaji Egbewunmi.
